Rules for using SURLS.me.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using SURLS.me, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use SURLS.me on behalf of a company, organization, or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not access or use the service.

2. Accounts and responsibilities

Some SURLS.me features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and all activity performed through your account.

3. The SURLS.me service

SURLS.me provides infrastructure for creating, managing, securing, redirecting, delivering, and analyzing links. Depending on your plan and configuration, this may include short URLs, custom domains, expiration, usage limits, password or PIN protection, OTP protection, country or IP restrictions, device and referrer controls, analytics, APIs, and links that point to webpages or files.

Features, limits, supported integrations, and availability may change as the service evolves. We may introduce new features, modify existing features, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

4. Your content and links

You retain ownership of content you submit to SURLS.me, including destination URLs, files, metadata, branding, and other materials you provide, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate the service.

You grant SURLS.me a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, cache, display, and otherwise handle your content solely as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use SURLS.me to create, distribute, facilitate, or conceal activity that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others.

Prohibited uses include, without limitation:

• phishing, credential theft, malware distribution, ransomware, malicious code, or other harmful activity;
• fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive schemes, or unauthorized financial activity;
• distribution of content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• unlawful harassment, threats, exploitation, or abuse;
• attempts to bypass security controls, access accounts or systems without authorization, or interfere with the service;
• mass abuse, spam, automated activity intended to evade limits, or use that materially harms service availability or other customers; and
• any other use prohibited by applicable law.

We may restrict, suspend, or remove links, files, domains, or accounts when we reasonably believe they violate these Terms, applicable law, or the security of the service or its users.

6. Security and access controls

SURLS.me provides security controls such as passwords, PINs, OTPs, expiration, usage limits, and access restrictions. These controls reduce risk but do not guarantee that a link, destination, file, account, or credential can never be accessed, copied, intercepted, or misused.

You are responsible for choosing appropriate security settings and protecting any credentials, secrets, API keys, or access codes associated with your account and links.

7. Plans, usage limits, and payments

SURLS.me may offer free and paid plans. Plan limits, included usage, features, pricing, billing periods, and overage rules are described on the applicable pricing or order page.

Paid services must be paid when due. Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. Taxes, duties, or similar charges may apply based on your location and applicable law.

We may change pricing for future billing periods with reasonable notice. Continued use of a paid service after a pricing change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price, subject to applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

SURLS.me and its software, interfaces, branding, designs, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to the service operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, sell, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative works from the service or its proprietary components.

You may use SURLS.me branding and generated links only in accordance with the service's published features and any applicable brand guidelines.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but SURLS.me is provided over networks and infrastructure that can experience outages, maintenance, congestion, attacks, provider failures, or other events outside our reasonable control.

We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at every location or at every time. We may perform maintenance or make changes that temporarily affect availability.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using SURLS.me at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, third parties, or our legal rights, including where there is a violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, security risk, non-payment, or a legal requirement.

After termination, access to your account, links, files, analytics, or other data may no longer be available. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of information you need before terminating your account.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SURLS.me is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SURLS.me and its operators, affiliates, suppliers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SURLS.me and its operators, affiliates, suppliers, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.
